Steven Kirk, Co-President
Steven Kirk brings three decades of management and instructional development experience
to Sage Interactive.
As Director of Professional Services for Symantec Corporation, he initiated and directed the development of extensive
user support services including disk-based tutorials and demos, audio and video learning
tools, multimedia based products and presentations, hands-on workshops, consulting
services, book publishing coordination, and third-party support services.
Prior to joining Symantec, Steven spent ten years developing and managing
the development of instructional materials. As Manager of Customer Training for ComputerLand
Corporation, he developed and managed a comprehensive learning center program for
the corporation's 600 franchise locations. As principal of Performance Resources
and as a supervisor at American Analysis Corporation and instructional designer at
Deterline Associates, he designed a wide array of instructional products and services.
Steven also initiated the Digital Village
project in partnership with the respective Presidents of the Autodesk Foundation,
the College of Marin, and the North Bay Multimedia Association. This unique and highly
visible business/education partnership has created a vital new center for new media
business ventures along with the development of a New Media Center at the College
of Marin and the State of California's first community college multimedia degree
program.
Steven served on the Digital Village Foundation Board of Directors as Vice President, served as Vice President of the North Bay Multimedia Association (a 300-plus member group of multimedia enthusiasts), was a Steering Committee member of the Bay Area Multimedia Partnership (BAMP), and an Advisory Board member of the China-U.S. Learning Technologies Institute.
Steven has spoken often at technology-centric conferences, and has given presentations (including keynote speeches) at conferences in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America. He holds an M.A. degree in Broadcast Communication Arts from San Francisco State University and a B.S. degree from the University of Utah.
